Kristin Agar, Board of Directors

Kristin Agar, LCSW is an interventionist and therapist in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a Certified Intervention Professional, trained in both invitational and non-invitational models, and is a member of the Network of Independent Interventionists. Intervention services provided by Kristin are: consultation, intervention, continuing care for the family, and clinical transport. Her treatment services include therapy in the following areas: eating disorders, alcohol, drug addiction, and illness, grief, and loss. She is a member of NASW, IAEDP,

NEDA, and is a founding board member of the Eating Disorder Coalition of Arkansas. Kristin completed her MSW in Clinical Social Work in 1978 and accepted a position on the Leukemia Service at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. There, she provided therapy for leukemia and bone marrow transplant patients and families, and co-authored Living with Leukemia: A Guide for Patients and Families. Upon return to Arkansas in 1980, Ms. Agar was Director of Counseling Services at Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute until 1989 when she joined the multidisciplinary team of the Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Arkansas Children’s Hospital providing social work services to patients and families until she opened her private practice in 1992.

Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, the St. Louis Cardinals and senior Dachshund rescue – rescuing senior Dachshunds in need of a final forever home.

Peggy Cosgrove, Board of Directors

Peggy Cosgrove, RD LD is a dietitian specializing in Eating Disorder treatment, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Weight Management, and Behavioral Modification. Her work includes nutritional counseling and meal planning among other nutritional assessment activities. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Food, Human Nutrition, and Hospitality with a focus in Dietetics and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She went on to complete her Dietetic Internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Central Arkansas Veterans Health System program. Peggy then moved to New York where she worked as an in-patient Eating Disorder Dietitian for New York-Presbyterian and opened a private practice. She soon returned home to complete her Masters of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Nutrition at the University of Central Arkansas while working in acute care. Peggy enjoys being involved in many community activities including the Little Rock Marathon, weekly painting classes, and the Little Rock Kickball Association.

Jen Freilino, Board of Directors

Jen Freilino, MS, LPC, is the co-founder of 501 Counseling in North Little Rock where she specializes in helping people make peace with food and their bodies. Jen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hendrix College (class of 2006) and a Master of Science degree from the University of Central Arkansas (class of 2008). After providing a few years of psychotherapy in Russellville, she moved to Little Rock to further specialize in eating disorder treatment and joined the only multidisciplinary treatment team in the state that treats adolescent eating disorders. She then decided to open her own practice to expand services for adults struggling with food and body-image concerns. She has received intensive training in family-based treatment (i.e., the Maudsley method) for anorexia nervosa in adolescents by the Institute for Child and Adolescent Eating disorders. She is also trained in eye-movement desensitization & reprocessing (EMDR), brainspotting, and other mindfulness-based therapies for both children and adults (i.e., DBT, ACT, and MBSR), which serve as additional resources in the treatment of eating disorders.
