Chris “Skip” Hoggard, LEP-I

President

Chris has been licensed since 1999 and practiced for twenty years at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in the division of Adolescent Medicine as an eating disorders therapist on an outpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. He also offered a range of therapies in contract work for the Department of Human Services with adolescents in Division of Youth Services custody. He has worked since 2001 with the Family Treatment Program of the UAMS Department of Pediatrics as a specialist in sexual trauma and treating adolescents with sexual behavior problems. Chris started work at RiverStone Wellness Center in 2017 as an eating disorders specialist. He has served on the Arkansas Psychology Board from 2009-2015. Chris has been a member of EDCA since 2010 and currently serves as our Board Secretary.

Kathryn McMillian

Vice President

Kathryn McMillian, MSS, LCSW is a therapist with more than10 years of experience, who started private practice in 2014 at the Kavanaugh Clinic in Hillcrest. She received her Master’s in Social Services from the Bryn Mawr School of Social Work and Social Research in Pennsylvania in 2005. She moved back to her hometown of Little Rock to work in the Department of Psychiatry at the PRI at UAMS for 8 years. She worked for 4 years with the age 18+ population with eating disorders as the coordinator for the eating disorder program at UAMS. She also specializes in working with young adults age 14-24, utilizing several evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety disorder, depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and parent-led behavioral techniques.

Brittany Smith

Treasurer

Brittany Smith, LCSW, is a therapist in private practice in Little Rock. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and her Master’s in social work from UALR. She specializes in eating disorders and anxiety and is especially interested in the overlap of the healing arts and medicine.
